So what can I say about me? I'm widowed and have five children who like to think they're grown up. Four still live with me. And the other has recently had a baby so I've joined the Grandad Club. I was out of work until recently. But at the beginning of September I got a few hours teaching maths at a local College in Coventry. Pays better than the dole. I've been in teaching for most of the last 30 years. Maths and engineering are the subjects I teach. I'm not an especially sporty person. I don't mind watching rugby and snooker but that's about my limit. My interests are photography, reading and I'm researching my family history. Which probably makes me sound dull as dishwater. So if you'd like to chat that'd be fine with me. I'll leave it up to you. I'm a WYSIWYG person (that's "What You See Is What You Get") and one of those people who always sees his glass as half full. Getting on a bit now (so my kids tell me) but not ready for pipe and slippers yet!
I have an eclectic taste in music covering: Classical (Bliss, Elgar, Walton and similar composers especially), Opera, Folk, Jazz. Status Quo, Queen, Bon Jovi, Led Zeppelin, Electric Light Orchestra, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Rainbow, Eric Clapton, Nazareth, Lindisfarne, Proclaimers.
As far as TV is concerned I mostly like watching good TV dramas and TV comedy. Mrs. Brown's Boys, Big Bang Theory,Rules of Engagement, Stella, Critical, Trollied, Open All Hours, Only Fools and Horses, Porridge, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers, Mike and Molly. Definitely not a fan of soap operas.
