Hi...I am a retired teacher and news journalist, and I am currently working on writing my fifth novel. I am originally from West Virginia, and I like to go back to the Appalachians; when I can, I like to go and stay in a cabin in the high mountains. I have degrees in education (history, political science, geography) and journalism from Ohio University...I'm a bit of a bookworm when it comes to history. I love to travel, both in and outside of the United States. Spontaneous road trips are a blast. What I am seeking right now is a friend and confidante. I am attracted primarily to women who are bright and perky and can carry on a stimulating conversation (except politics. Never.) Some say I'm funny. Others say I'm smart. But all in all, I'm just a nice guy looking for a nice companion. I'm not going to rush into anything. Friends first, then...maybe...
