It doesn't matter to me if you're bald or pony-tailed, short or tall, or come from Jupiter. You having personality does matter: I like it! Humor, kindness and tenderness are a powerful combination. Everybody likes walks on the beach and candlelight dinners, but I'm looking for the guy who makes me snort my drink from laughing too hard, or the guy who knows a neck rub is just what's needed, or shows up with a handful of wild flowers and a big grin, or checks my tire pressure...those every day 'small' things that weave a tapestry.
Am a painter and do sculpture as well...along with writing a weekly newspaper column. That means I'm not rich, at least in money, but am reliable and honest...down-to-earth...have a sense of wonder and gratitude for the good and bad this life brings. Little things rock my world: fresh hot coffee in the morning, pink bandanas, sensual red wine in the evening, great books, watching a praying mantis, a new tube of French oil paint, a happy dog under my feet, someone with a smile in their eyes....ah, life is sweet...
