Have been living in Buchanan (upper westchester county) NYfor 6 months. Lived in Warwick NY for 35 years, Raised on a farm, then Cental Alaska at 50 below,then vietnam. Have college degree but still learning about my self and the world at large,both important. Many different jobs, much construction & physical labor, Worked at a art center for 22 years, sculpture fabrication,classical concert stage manager,built and repaired building. Built, shipped,installed sculpture replicas for true non-profits thru out the world.Landscape design,planting,and weeding. Burned out-it was intellectally,emotionaly, phyisically, & $ demanding. General maintaince-painting,cleaning etc. Sometimes 90 hours a week. Did it not for money but seeing oeople from all walks of life being moved by it. Passion for reading,art,music,quiet conversation with high standards.Miss walking in the woods.Also miss friends of 35+ years who are working class artists, social activists, and just people who want to make a better world in their own way. I have many weaknesses & shortconings..many of which I know. Also strenghs: loyal,caring,compassionate,not selfcentered, controling,or istal. Dyslexic in spelling & pronunication. I think a lot about my daily actions on others, my self,& the world at large. DO not like fancy resturants ,cars,malls,snobish people. Live a frugal and plain life. Retired on small VA penision...I like to live with in my means. Besides my passions I go to Montrose VA Hospital,bike in nice weather or take the bus. My ambition is to be a better human. I like humor that isn't mean but reveals about the human condition.
