Lily Tomlin once said, "I haven't been around the block, but I've been close by." In the forty-nine years I've been on the planet, I think I can say I haven't been around the block, but I have had some experiences. I have much to offer a partner. I'm smart, funny, gentle, and I've had some success. I've also been kicked around a little bit in life and have some 'baggage' but I guess we all do. "Most men lead lives of quiet desperation." I'm not sure who first said that, but I don't want to live a life of quiet desperation, fear, ignorance. "Most men are slaves in a society of slaves." What is Freedom? What does a free man do? In Latin, the word Liber means two things: "book" and "free man." A free man has leisure time to study what he wants. Why study Latin? Latin has been "dead" for almost fifteen hundred years. Why study Philosophy? Unless you get a PHD and publish, you'll never make any money. Why study something if you can't put it on your resume and sell it to the highest bidder? A slave is taught.
