I find self description really difficult, but think of myself as fairly outgoing, although not overbearing and enjoy good company and conversation with friends, yet I am quite happy spending time on my own. I like to enjoy the lighter side of life and maybe am inclined generally to not take things seriously enough at times, although I do consider relationships a serious matter. With the right person I can be very affectionate and even romantic, but not effusively so and not with every one I meet.

I am technically, but not artistically creative. I enjoy designing, creating and building things like computer software and yes, custom motorcycles. I'm always busy with many projects currently on the go.

I can become very absorbed with my activities and am obviously ideally looking for someone to share those interests and life. However I realise that not everyone is as passionately interested in the same things. So acceptance and understanding of such differences are really important on both sides.

I'm certainly no 'player' and am ultimately looking for someone I can love unreservedly and who freely reciprocates those feelings.

Obviously that person needs to be attractive to me, but I am not looking for glamour. I prefer someone who looks right and is comfortable in e.g. a pair of jeans. If you live in and love the city, then you're probably not right for me. Been there, done that, prefer to be more in the country with more space. I am an animal lover and have had dogs and/or cats most of my life and that definitely works better out of the city.

I love the idea of walking and cycling, but lack of anyone to do that with means I've done little of either recently and most travelling has been by motorcycle. Every year I organise and run a European tour, just for the fun of the riding. It really is the beat way to travel to foreign lands. However, much as I obviously love motorcycles, I realise they are a hopeless means of regular transport. I ride for fun and am no 'hairy biker' or greasy oik and prefer to take the car when appropriate.

Distance is tricky. I am prepared to travel for the right person, but initially this is hard to figure out. So I wouldn't discount on distance - as long as it is within the UK as I don't think it would be possible to establish any truths before having to make that substantial commitment. Anyone just pretending to be in the UK need not apply. I am not looking for any Russian pen-pal thank you very much.

Sorry if this seems harsh, but I'm just trying to be honest and avoid any fakes.
