It seems like college partying days never happened. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs. I've turned into not quite an obsessive health-conscious individual, but I'm compulsive about sticking or trying to stick to only healthy foods and beverages. Exercise is a daily routine. 1-2 hours a day of either weight lifting, body building or cardio, or some of all. I'm highly educated. I have a Juris Doctorate in law and am a practicing attorney in my own firm I own and operate. I can't honestly say that I'm "worldly", although I know enough to join in conversations and know enough when to shut up. My life experiences could fill a 300 page, single space autobiography in regular size print (no pictures taking up pages, either). I have a bunch of likes and interests that seem to conflict, but I like to learn. I have one main hobby that went from being a hobby to a full time business and back to a hobby. I love many different types of foods. I think traveling is cool. Love theme parks, I do own firearms (I'm prior law enforcement). However, I don't believe the 2nd amendment guarantees private gun ownership and I am not a supporter of the NRA. I have two sweet, loving, fun, smart, adorable big dogs who are basically afraid of their own shadows. I only watch a little TV, and this is gonna be very weird, but one of the shows I am HOOKED ON is Ghost Adventures with Zac Bagans and his crew of paranormal investigators. I also like Unknown Expeditions with Josh Gates, science, history, arts and humanities. Even though I don't do drugs, I believe that Marijuana can eventually be properly controlled by the right laws and eventually decriminalized for recreational use under tight controls. I also believe that a woman's body is her own and I am strictly pro-choice. I feel that Trump has done nothing but to rip apart and destroy every aspect of our culture and life styles, and that the damage will unfortunately take years if not decades to normalize. I believe it's time for a woman president. There have been major countries all over the word for thousands of years who have been led by women. Just look at Cleopatra, who had ruled better than men. Other than her, there has never been a country ruled by a women who has been the aggressor and started a war. All major "modern" wars have all be started by men. It's time to change things. I'm not running for office, but I AM politically energized. I do not attempt to convert or argue. I save that for the court room. But I have a high degree of ethics and morals which I will not compromise or change. I feel it's important for everyone to stand for something, and individual freedoms is high on my list. I am not a war-monger. I feel we get ourselves involved in too many ill-conceived, ill-prepared conflicts we should never involved ourselves in. Then there are dozens of countries suffering humanitarian crises where our help could be desperately needed, and we turn our backs because they're "not strategically important." I donate to various charities and causes all-year-round. Pain and suffering occurs 24/7/365 somewhere in the world. I can't do a lot, but I figure every little bit counts. I work the same way with my law practice. My ex-wife used to get very angry at me for spending hours with people who never paid me. I knew they couldn't, but I just couldn't turn my back on them. God gave me the unique position in society with the ability to help and change a person's life, in the big-picture, what is providing two hours of help to someone where that help could last them a life-time. I enjoy the unique opportunity to help people. However, I have been alone for 4 years since my divorce and have no children. There are too many signs that my work is consuming my life and that staying alone is starting to really take it's mental toll on me. I was never designed, built or programmed to be alone without a life long companion, and I hope someone out there who enjoys excellent company, interesting activities, fun love making, thought-provoking and stimulating conversation, dining out, the humanities, staying home, enjoys loving and playful dogs, all kinds of music, variety of entertainment, polite and courteous consideration by her man, a hard, tenacious, persistent, open-minded, liberal individual, someone who isn't a neat freak, but likes organization, good credit rating, owns his house, puts the toilet seat down and flushes every time, cleans his bath and shower, does his own laundry, is quick witted, funny, sometimes sarcastic (and a pain in the ass). I'm patient, loving, caring, giving, understanding, logical, but one important thing...I DO NOT LIKE ASPARAGUS, PEAS, BRUSSEL SPROUTS, COOKED CARROTS, RAW BROCCOLI, MOST SEA FOOD (anything in hinged shell), RAP MUSIC, HIP HOP AND FOX NEWS. But, if you want to learn to disco roller skate, I'm your man! Ta Ta For Now. Be well and happy...Larry D.
